1. Data Protection at a Glance
General information
We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations (in particular the GDPR and German data protection law) and this privacy policy. When you use this website, various personal data are collected. This policy explains in detail which data we collect, what we use them for and on what legal basis this happens.

The controller responsible for data processing on this website within the meaning of the GDPR is:
Pixels Media e.K.

3. Data Collection on Our Website
Server log files
The provider of this website automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser transmits to us automatically. These are: browser type and version, operating system used, referrer URL, host name of the accessing computer, time of the server request and the IP address. These data are not merged with other data sources. The data are collected on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimisation of its website.
Cookies
Our website only uses technically necessary cookies that are strictly required for the website to function properly (e.g. session cookies for security). Your user behaviour is not tracked for marketing purposes. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR and Section 25 (2) of the German Telecommunications and Digital Services Data Protection Act.
4. Enquiries & Applicant Management
Enquiries by email or phone
If you contact us, your enquiry, including all resulting personal data (name, contact details, request), will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling it. Processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR if your enquiry relates to the performance of a contract or is necessary to carry out pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, processing is based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) in effectively handling the enquiries addressed to us.
Handling of applicant data
We offer you the opportunity to apply to us. In doing so, we process the data you send us as part of your application (e.g. cover letter, CV, references). The legal basis for this is Section 26 of the German Federal Data Protection Act and Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR. If we are unable to offer you a position, we will delete your data no later than 6 months after notifying you of the rejection, unless you have consented to longer storage.
5. Newsletter
Subscription via website & contact form
You can subscribe to our newsletter at any time free of charge via a dedicated sign-up page or by ticking the corresponding box (checkbox) in our contact form. In both cases, we need a valid email address as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the email address provided. If you subscribe via the contact form, the data you enter there that are relevant for sending the newsletter will be added to our newsletter mailing list. Subscription always takes place via a so-called double opt-in procedure to ensure that you agree to receive the newsletter.
Legal basis & withdrawal
These data are processed exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent to the storage of the data and the email address and their use for sending the newsletter at any time, for example via the “unsubscribe” link in the newsletter. The lawfulness of data processing operations already carried out remains unaffected by the withdrawal.
Storage period & service providers
The data you provide to us for the purpose of receiving the newsletter will be stored by us until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and will be deleted from the mailing list after you unsubscribe. If we use an external service provider for sending, we have concluded a data processing agreement with them to ensure the security of your data.
6. Hosting
External hosting
This website is hosted by an external service provider (host). The personal data collected on this website are stored on the host's servers. The host is used for the purpose of fulfilling contracts with our customers (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR) and in the interest of a secure, fast and efficient provision of our online services by a professional provider (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). To ensure data processing in compliance with data protection law, we have concluded a data processing agreement with our host.
7. Storage Period & Disclosure of Data
Unless a more specific storage period has been stated in this privacy policy, your personal data will remain with us until the purpose for processing no longer applies. If you assert a justified request for deletion or withdraw your consent to data processing, your data will be deleted unless we have other legally permissible reasons for storing it (e.g. retention periods of up to 10 years under tax or commercial law).
As a matter of principle, we do not pass on your data to third parties unless this is necessary for the performance of a contract, we are legally obliged to do so or you have expressly consented. Data are not transferred to third countries (outside the EU/EEA).
8. Data Security (SSL/TLS Encryption)
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as enquiries you send to us as the site operator, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address bar of your browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser bar. If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
9. Your Rights
Within the scope of the applicable statutory provisions (GDPR), you have the following rights regarding your personal data at any time:
Access
To stored data and their origin.
Rectification
Of incorrect or incomplete information.
Erasure
Of unlawfully stored data or data no longer required.
Restriction
Of further processing of your data.
Objection
To processing based on legitimate interest.
Portability

Right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority:
In the event of breaches of the GDPR, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of their habitual residence, their place of work or the place of the alleged infringement.
To exercise your rights, please contact us informally at: info@pixels-media.com
10. Objection to Promotional Emails
We hereby object to the use of contact details published as part of our legal notice obligation for sending unsolicited advertising and information material. The site operators expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of unsolicited advertising, for example through spam emails.
